I Wanted to Be There Too is a floor installation conceived as a walkable invisible sea from which fragments of interrupted lives emerge.

The work transforms a carpet into a metaphor for loss, absence and collective responsibility, reflecting on lives cut short in the Mediterranean and on the normalization of tragedy.
